Photo Diary: Mt. Fuji

H I

Its been a while since I posted photos from my Japan trip,, I sorta forgot about it... ^^;; This is my Mt. Fuji post! I ended up with alot of photos that was taken with the iPhone and not many from my actual camera so the quality are mixed.. I am sorry with the quality of some of the photos :(

We went to see Mt Fuji in Sept so there was no snow on the peak of the Fuji-san so it doesnt look like the iconic beautiful Mt.fuji, I was sorta disappointed that it just looked like a giant brown mountain but other wise the area was beautiful!

 Mount Fuji
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mount Fuji (富士山 Fuji-san?IPA: [ɸɯꜜdʑisaɴ] ( listen)), located on Honshu Island, is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft).[1] An activestratovolcano[5][6] that last erupted in 1707–08, Mount Fuji lies about 100 kilometres (62 mi) south-west of Tokyo, and can be seen from there on a clear day. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped several months a year, is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers.

First stopped by Lake Kawaguchiko
Also known as Swan lake, this lake is one of the most famous lake out of the 5 lakes that is located near Mt.fuji, located at a base of the mountain.

As you decent up the temperature drops quite drastically so make sure to bring a warm coat. This is taken at mid decent to Mt.fuji, such a breath taking view, you can see mountain after mountain.

Here is at the top of the road, from here you can climb Mt.fuji. Since Mt.Fuji is an active volcanic mountain its brown due to the last volcanic eruption no trees grows on it, a remains of the magma is visible.

is located at the Entrance of Mt.Fuji. You have a great view of the surrounding area from here. Along with the shrine there are gift shops, restaurants and even a guide that would take you horse back riding to climb up Mt Fuji!

Some cute Mt.Fuji souvenirs :D

At the end of the trip we stopped by this place in Yamanashi called Kosaku, famous for HoTo Noodles Hoto is a hearty hot pot dish (nabemono) local to Yamanashi Prefecture

I got shrimp tempura don, couldnt believe how big they were! Really delicious place I highly recommend it!
