Photo Diary: Mt. Fuji

H I

Its been a while since I posted photos from my Japan trip,, I sorta forgot about it... ^^;; This is my Mt. Fuji post! I ended up with alot of photos that was taken with the iPhone and not many from my actual camera so the quality are mixed.. I am sorry with the quality of some of the photos :(

We went to see Mt Fuji in Sept so there was no snow on the peak of the Fuji-san so it doesnt look like the iconic beautiful Mt.fuji, I was sorta disappointed that it just looked like a giant brown mountain but other wise the area was beautiful!

 Mount Fuji
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mount Fuji (富士山 Fuji-san?IPA: [ɸɯꜜdʑisaɴ] ( listen)), located on Honshu Island, is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft).[1] An activestratovolcano[5][6] that last erupted in 1707–08, Mount Fuji lies about 100 kilometres (62 mi) south-west of Tokyo, and can be seen from there on a clear day. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped several months a year, is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers.

Photo DIary: Ice Castle

H E L L O

Last week was terribly cold here in the midwest due to the arctic winds, the northern part of MN got up to -40F!! I never lived anywhere that got this cold so it was terrible... lol literary every part of your body hurts from the sharp cold wind, any exposed skin felt like its been slapped with needles D;

I been dying to see this attraction Ice Castle next to the Mall of America, we have chosen the wrong date to go to there, we ended up going there on one of the coldest day this winter,, what were we thinking?! lol

But it was worth it cause it was ridiculously beautiful but I dont think I got to fully enjoy cause I forgot my mitten and hat end up getting wind burns on my face from just being out for like 10 min in -3F weather cause it was super windy :(

Being surrounded by all the ice it literally felt like I was in a meat freezer with wind chill that made it feel like -20F lol I couldn't keep my face straight cause it was way too cold to pose... LOL

This is what Zach looked like lol like a ninja! He was super prepared for this cold just like all Minnesotan were with the weather being in the negatives -F you really need to cover your face or you will get wind burns like I did.. XP

I felt like I was in the arctics being surrounded by the Ice Castles, felt surreal. If you have a chance to go see an Ice Castle it will be a memorable one for sure :)

Thanks for reading my photo diary~

XOXO

Photo diary: Ice Skating!

HELLO

Minnesota is known for Hockey and snowy winters, no wonder everyone here in MN knows how to ice skate like a pro lol The park are turned into outdoor skate rinks and everyone stays quite active even in frozen winter! Its a must to own your own pair of Ice skates ^_^

Zach, my mom and I went skating the other day, my mom havent skated in like 20 years!  So Zach and I had to help her skate, she was like "Gosh I am really bad now...if I go skating like 3-5 times I'll be alright" LOL

I should try to take advantage of this snowy atomsphere more often, next time we are going to ride a snowmobile~ I havent had a chance to ride them yet so Im quite excited! :)

well this is it for my photo diary~

Photo Diary: My Christmas

Hello~

How was your Christmas and your holiday going so far? Can you believe we are nearing 2013!? I feel like my Christmas passed by really quick am glad that the rush is over with and looking forward to the brand new year!

Just wanted to share what was my Christmas week was like :)

WHITE CHRISTMAS!

I was so disappointed that we didnt get snow on Christmas, unlike last years Christmas we had a lovely white Christmas this year! :) It just puts a nice mood when you wake up on Xmas day and see snow covered land scape, it really does feel like Christmas and freezing too lol ^^;;

Every year ever since I moved to MN I spend my Christmas with Zach's family. It's truly sweet to be around family during this time of the year since I dont have many family in US, it really does make the whole Xmas experience so much sweeter to have people in your life to share the merry christmas! :)

Some of the gifts this year~  theres always girly stuff and gadgets mixed in our presents lol Zach got me this Chloe perfume, so pretty~ Ive loved this scent but I just never got it since I end up wearing same scents year after year so this is a nice addition :)

Hockey is a huge part of Zach's family and most of minnesotans lol every year Zachs cousin makes this outdoor hockey rink at his backyard so we end up playing hockey on Christmas night since all the family get together~

I've never played hockey in my life but after playing outdoor hockey with them I actually find it really fun! ^^

well this was pretty much my Christmas!
I wish you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2013!!

XOXO

Photo diary: Hakone, Japan

H i !

Resuming my photo diary from Japan~
I wanted to share my photos from trip to Hakone! Hakone is located in kanagawa about almost 2 hours away from Tokyo by train, this place is famous for gorgeous view of Mt. Fuji, Hakone shrine, kuro-onsen tamago (mineral water boiled egg) and pirates boat in Lake Ashinoko. :)

You can get there with train then with a rope way then riding the pirate boat! It was such a beautiful and a fun trip~

Rope way descended really high sorta scary cause Im scared of heights lol...
beautiful view of Mt. Fuji in the far distance
I can see Lake Ashinoko! so pretty!
weird seeing pirates boat in Japan
Its a Japanese pirates boat! LOL
such a pretty boat!
I was super excited to ride the boat lol
decided to ride the boat on the top of the boat
was a super chilly ride ^^;;
Got off the boat to sight see~ such a gorgeous place
famous Hakone shirne Torii

Stopped off the get some famous Hakone kuro-tamago~ Of course there is Hello kitty greeting the visitors lol

black eggs (黒玉子 kuro-tamago) at Owakudani. Boiled on site, their shells are a mottled black due to a chemical reaction with the sulphurous water, but the inside is quite tasty. According to Japanese legend, every one you eat will add seven years to your life. 5 eggs (and hence 35 years) will set you back just ¥500.

Egg looks weird and stinks but tastes just like regular boiled egg lol

Looking at the photos makes me miss Japan,, ;__;

well,,, thanks for stopping by~ :D
