c.o. Bigelow Rose salve review

Hi♥

Im sorry for not being around and making post lately... X3
Holiday season always keeps me busy and exhausted,, its very joyful time of the year and its one of my favorite holiday but I think its the most stressful time of the year for me... :/

with all the planning, gift buying and work, I sometime forget that I need to relax and not think about anything but to relax... so I guess from the sound of things I have been stressed out....! That's why not much posts, FOTD and fun things here lately :(

Dont worry I have been slowly making reviews, tutorials and been taking photos but Im just so tired that I havent been able to edit and such but I will make time for them hopefully soon!
I did manage to make mini review on this lip balm that Ive been using alot since the cold weather really moved in my lips have been super dry.

C.O.Bigelow Rose Salve No.12

Here is what it says on their website

C.O. Bigelow's famous Rose Salve has been a favorite since the early days, due to its ability to care for lips and beautify skin. Emulsified with extra-soothing rose extract, which helps ease irritation and condition the skin.

  • Made in USA
Ingredients include:
Petrolatum, Lanolin oil, squalane, jojoba esters, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, gossypium herbaceum (cotton) seed oil, octyldodecanol, bisabolol, red 20 lake (CI 73360).

Ok so I got this at Bath and body works they are doing buy 2 and get one free so I thought its a great stocking stuffer gift also I read few reviews on this lip balm before people said good things so I thought why not try :)

The tin is nice size and the color is pinky shade but goes on clear, my initial thought about this balm is that I didnt know if I liked the smell,, I love the scent of rose but this smells more like sweet baby powder.. :/
but its not too strong of a scent so I can bear it, the tin says 9% Rose extract in this and the scent is from the actual rose.

On moisture, My lips are really DRY right now and its all wrinkled up but as soon as I apply this balm on the lips its hydrated immidiately, its doesnt feel like it just sit on my lips but it actually feels like it nourishes my lips! On the greasy level, I say its medium its not too greasy feeling either which I love :) It does keep my lip hydrated for a good amount of time, I say it keeps my lip moist for hours. This have been great base for a lip products, it keeps my lip gloss last longer and lip stick goes on smoothly! My BF tend to have dry skin and I have been applying this on his face since it is multipurpose, seems to keep his face from looking dry so I say if you have really dry skin use this product everywhere :D

I applied this on my cuticles too works well! Very comparable to Smith's Rosebud salve!

4.5/5
-.5 since I dont know if I like the scent and its a tin can get messy,,

def a good buy since the tin will last you LONG time :3

Mario Badescu is Europe's #1 spa and their products are known to use natural ingredients, Highly rated skin care products. If you fill out their questionnaire and let them know your problems they will send you sample to try out for free! I filled mine about 2-3 weeks ago and I just got them Today. 3. Ooo, I'm really tempted to go try the rose balm!

Also, you're really lucky for getting the Badescu samples... I just filled out their questionnaire and it looks like they've ended that promotion. All of their full size products are a little to expensive to just order and try, too. I can't wait to hear what you think about their products~

  5. Ahhh, I know what you mean about this being the most joyful time of the year and the most stressful time too! Hope you're taking care of yourself and get to destress soon! *hugs*

And oh dude - I totally didn't even realize those were two different products! LOL. I didn't actually like Smith's Rosebud Salve that much though... so I will probably skip this one. I just got my MB samples as well! So jealous you got the strawberry scrub lol. They sent me the Kiwi one, which does smell nice, but it's a wholly unnatural color and weirdly metallic/iridescent and I'm kind of afraid to use it lol...
