Flash back post about my Ninja and how I ended with him in 9/2010

Hello!

wanted to introduce you to Ninja! :D alittle stray baby kitty that me and zach rescued since it was all on its own and was meowing for nonstop for 4 days straight outside of our house looking for its mommy but she never came so he was starving and all along scared! T__T

so we had to rescue him since it gonna be winter here soon and couldnt let this little guy be out like that so I we sat out every night trying to earn its trust and have him get near us alittle by alittle and i was like meowing like crazy trying to get this guy to come to us and it worked because it would meow back and get closer and closer to me lol but with persistence and after total of 53 mosquito bites we finally got him and Zach named him Ninja samurai lol X3

I said why that name and he said ninja cause he is super fast like a ninja and samurai cause he was out there all alone in the woods surviving on its own with warrior spirit and he is fierce! I thought it was cute since I'm so bad at coming up with names so haha :P

Weekly iPhone photo diary: 4 year Anniversary weekend!

Just a really short photo diary post from this past weekend~ 

1.21.12 was Zach & eki's 4 years Anniversary!♥

He planned a nice day for our annivers but unfortunately he come down with a flu so did get to anything  but to go out to eat... but it was relaxing and nice weekend! :)

we been talking about going to eat this one place called Piccolo mainly because they have unique menus and use ingredients that are from local famers and organic products.

here is what they say:

More than any other restaurant in Minnesota, Piccolo's cuisine is focused on quality over quantity, putting what is seasonal and creative ahead of what is safe and familiar. We believe in changing our menu frequently, buying locally and seasonally whenever possible, and putting a significant amount of time and devotion into each beautifully presented plate. Call it small plates, "fractional dining", or simply a tasting menu à la carte. The menu is designed to allow guests a chance to create a different dining experience with each visit, pairing risk with reward. You could say that choice is the defining characteristic of Piccolo, allowing people to dine according to their desires and appetite.

  

I was very pleased with their food, they were really tasty, looked pleasant overall I was happy but the portions are tiny very french-esque style hehe :)

Foie gras torchon with smoked cipollini onions, escargot, jalapeño peppers and chervil

I Love watching Bizzare Foods with Andrew Zimmern was surprise to see their season 7 premier featured here where I live the Twin city! I guess not that surprised since he lives here also lol but was really surprised to see the restaurant Piccolo we went for our 4 year Anniversary featured in this episode! Apparently its one of Andrew's favorite place to eat~ I wish I could find a link to the full episode so that you can see it too but I could only find a CM for this episode~

the look of the night~ wanted simple MU look with a little bit of BAM! with some false lashes~ lol

after dinner tried to make some chocolate covered strawberries for the first time!

but didn't turn out too well I heated the chocolate too long and didn't temper the chocolates well so it turned out sorta grainy... D; next time I will perfect it lol

Zach gave me this 13" macbook air for Anniversary! Actually gave it to me on new years as early present~ :D

made chicken noodle soup for sick Zach used the recipe from Food network  made a slight modification, used wonton skin instead of egg noodle lol it was really yummy!

I noticed that there are tons of kawaii and affordable items on ebay that I cannot get my hands on where I live. Makes me happy that I can go on ebay and find just about anything on there at fraction of the price that I would end up paying at other stores. I buy from seller with most positive feedback and read some of the customers feedback before making the purchase so please make sure to look at each sellers feedback before purchasing from them, deal with seller with most positive feedback so that you know you are buying a good quality items, especially items from China! The only down side to ebay is that there are tons of copyright violation items on there that are not official items so got to watch out for that but I couldn't help but to buy this iPhone cases since Apple does not make such case so I had to get it cause it was PINK! lol

I think they are made really well for how cheap it is~ I really like the glossy finish and the apple logo is in reflective silver just like the actual back side of the iPhone :) My iPhone doesn't even look like it has a case on!

I really hate having cords dangling everywhere especially in my computer bag with all the gadget cords everywhere so this kawaii Rilakkuma cord holder/wrapper is perfect to wrap the cords in a nicely~ made out of rubber, easy to use and its so KAWAII makes me happy when I see it :)

What I think:

Ok one of my favorite color is Mint Green or light Aqua shade so I could not resist getting this case! I really love rubberized cases because you can't see the scratches but one thing about this case that drive me nut is that it leaves a finger prints/mark from the natural oils of your hands so you have to wipe it down now and then or all you see are hand prints but other that it is good quality case :)

Dolly Wink Otona collection: Eyebrow & eyelash fix swatches

The eyebrow powder comes in 3 different shades this one is #2 CHOCO BROWN the mid shade. Each palette comes with 2 shades one to define the brow and the other to blend with a single end brush.

 At first glance:

I thought the packaging and the palette was cheap looking I was sorta disappointed about that but the powder seems to be very pigmented and easy to blend. :)

The eyebrow mascara comes in 3 different shades this one is the mid shade in #2 MOCHA. It claims to be sweat and water proof but comes easy off with some warm water~ Also contains nutriment properties such as Panthenol, Ginseng root extract.

At first glance:

I thought the packaging was cute like the original Dolly Wink packagings, its a nice portion size very pleased at how it applied when I first tried it, looks quite bright but once on my black eyebrows it balanced out the shade to medium brown :)

The false eyelash glue now comes in black along with original clear! Dolly Wink claims their glue are strong against sweat and water with strong staying on power also the eyelash fix has been improved with 50% more adhesive power compared to the original! 

At first glance:

I was really happy that they came up with a black glue type so when I tried it for the first time I was surprised at how black it is almost like a liquid eyeliner but made with latex material and seems to dry semi matte so far I am happy with this~
