Review: LUCIDO-L Milk Jam Hair Color in Milk Tea

H e l l o

I wanted to share with you one of the hair dye I used few months ago while I was in Japan that I forgot to share with you... sorry ^^;;

LUCIDO-L Milk Jam Hair Color in Classic milk tea
contains honey, collagen, pearl extract, silk essence and tsubaki oil contents, nourishes your hair while coloring. With special formula to minimize the odor arise during coloring.

This dye is made by Mandom Corp, its supposed to be bleach-in dye meaning there is traces of bleach already mixed in with the hair dye. It supposed to lift your hair color few shades lighter at the same time coloring your hair. I choose the color in Classic milk tea since if you know me I LOVE ash tone brown lol

What I think?
I had high expectation since I looked through reviews on Cosme.net before I bought this dye since it was voted #1 hair dye on their website due to high review feedback from actual users.

Lets start with what I liked first, I liked that it didnt irritate my skin, it was easy to apply due to the dye coming with a comb in applicator, after dying my hair it felt smooth and did not feel like it dried out or damage my hair and one box of this dye was enough to cover all my hair. Ok now with what I didnt like about it, as with most hair dye it never turns out like the box color or the color they suggested that it will turn out... even though it has bleach in it it really didnt lift my roots as light as I hoped for, I didnt feel like the color was ashy enough either. The only part of my hair seemed like a true ash tone was my ends where it was bleached in the past, that part looked beautifully colored ash brown and all other parts were medium to light brown shade with hint of ash tone.

Color:
☆★
Did manage to color bleached hair to a nice ash tone brown but the darker new growth just turned out to be brown with slight ash tone, doesnt really look like it evened out my hair color.
Application:

Really easy to apply
consistency:
easy to blend creamy liquid
Overall:
  ☆★

OVERALL:
I liked that this dye didnt damage my hair it kept my hair looking shiny and didnt dry out my hair but the down side is that if your hair is black to dark brown it really doesn't turn out to be true ash tone brown but more like caramel tone brown shade with slight ash tone. I would say this dye would be perfect if you've bleached your hair in the past and you want to tone your hair to a ash tone or if you have a black hair and simply want to dye your hair to nice medium brown shade then it'll be a perfect dye for you! ^_^

Review: Loreal Preference 5A medium ash brown

Also I colored my hair! I guess Its my annual "going dark for the winter hair!" lol

well I think I used this shade before but couldnt remember,, I am always attracted to anything that calls the shade with an "ash" tone lol This is Loreal Preference in 5A Medium ash brown. I love preference cause it really doesnt damage my super color processed hair, also its a plus that it doesnt sting or itch my scalp and the color turns out quite well. :)

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I like it~ not too dark not light either lol it even out the color, my ends were lighter since I bleached my hair before so the ends always ends up lighter after few washes after coloring my hair,,

so the top of the hair colored medium/dark brown with hint of ash tone and the part that was bleached in the past colored in a nice "BOX" shade, a true medium ash brown~ its actually really pretty shade if you had your hair bleached in the past and get it colored with this shade you'll get a nice darkish medium ash brown ^__^

Sorry for the crappy quality photos it was all taken with my iphone,, I am seriously getting lazy with taking photo cause iphone is just too convenient,, poor dslr are sitting in the dust lol One of my new years solution should be to bust out my dslr every time I take any photos LOL

Review: Kao Liese Prettia foaming hair dye in Natural Ash

 H E L L O

I've colored my hair again! LOL
This time with everyone's suggestions and request I tried out Kao Liese Prettia foaming hair dye! I got it in the shade of Natural Ash~

Prettia series comes in 22 different shades!

Made a Video so that you can get a better idea of this hair dye. In the Video I am showing how to mix the hair dye along with the results, before and after :)

What I think?
I really like how easy it was to apply the foam on to my hair without much mess, I only needed one box to completely cover my whole hair! After leaving the dye in for about 30 min the new growth and the mid section seemed to even out but did not completely color it in a ash tone but rather turn out medium brown and the ends where I previously bleached turned in to nice Ash brown just like the box shade. Over all the color difference isnt that obvious and I really like the shade. Also this dye didn't strip my hair dry and the dye didn't sting my scalp which are a MAJOR PLUS in my book! :)

Color:

Evened out my new growth and tone down my reddish tint
Application:

Really easy to apply
consistency:
Semi thick foam easy to blend
Overall:

Even though I gave it 4 stars I really liked the results but minus 1 star cause if you have true virgin black to dark brown hair this dye might not turn out like the box shade,,

Hope this review helps! :)

I made a video tutorial on this my everyday/natural look so please stay tuned for that ^^

Dark hair + things to review~

Hello everyone~ Just wanted to make a update post since I have been slacking at blogging lately,, truly sorry for not posting much lately been feeling burnt out and with getting ready to move in a little over a weeks so it has been quite busy and stressed lately, I will try to get to posting more video soon might work on one before the move :D

Oh I have finally colored my hair and chopped off my bangs again! Its been months since I colored my hair with Clariol Soy4plex in 5AA medium ash brown which faded to a light milk tea shade and I had about 3" of new growth so I decided to color my hair dark with Clariol Soy4plex in 3AA medium ultra cool brown for the winter since its less maintenance lol But it turned out quite darker then I expected and its supposed to be in the ash tone range but it looks more like normal brown tone shade which I was sorta disappointed but hopefully it'll fade a bit after few more washes~  :)
I do like this dye a lot, every time I've colored with this dye my hair looks shiny and healthy only down side is that it does color quite a bit darker than what is pictured in their color chart. You can get them at Sally's beauty supplies.

Hair Bleaching and Light ash brown hair color

Hello~

As you all know that I have bleached my hair and colored it to light ash brown almost a month ago! wow time just flies by so fast,,, But I didnt get to show you how I achieved this color so here it is!!

Before and After comparison

Here are the items that was used
you can get all the items below at Sally's beauty supplies :)

The process~
sorry all taken on iphone so crappy photos... :(

If you watch the video that I made explaining the process you can get a better idea of what to do! ^__^

Mix the Quick blue bleach powder with equal amount of developer, this case for my black hair I used developer 30, this image was taken after I applied the mixture evenly and wore a hair cap for about 45 min. The hair is now fully processed and in the shade of light yellow, this is when I know its all ready to jump in the shower to wash it off really well then I applied Loreal Natures therapy mega shine nurturing creme conditioner...

After the shower, this is what it looked like once it was dried,, light yellow to light orange lol

And then the next day I have colored my hair with Ion hair color in light ash brown, came out lighter than expected, more on the med ash blonde shade.

here is what it faded to and with my new growth taken almost a week ago

So with my first attempt at getting a perfect light ash brown sorta failed,, I went and got a new shade to try with a different brand of dye also from Sally's.

This hair dye was voted by Health Beauty Awards 2011 Winner of Best Haircolor! So I had to try it here is what it claims

4 Signs of Healthy-Looking Color

Deep Conditioning

SOY4PLEX™ is a deep conditioning color complex that acts on both the outer layer and deep inside the cortex to deliver the 4 signs of healthy-looking color.

Reflective Shine

The deeply conditioned outer layer forms a highly reflective surface for noticeable, healthy shine—up to 61% more.*

Long-lasting Color

SOY4PLEX color molecules move to the cortex of the hair; the smooth outer layer helps seal them in for long-lasting color.

Multi-dimensional Results

Deeply conditioned hair reflects light in many directions to create multi-dimensional, natural-looking results.

Here are the result from this dye~ it also lightened my new growth to a brown shade :D I like the fact that it came out as a true ash tone but darker than I expected but I am happy with it cause I know its going to fade into really nice light ash brown shade after few washes♥

ohh Bonus!! I completely forgot to talk about how I bleached my eye brows in the video!! SORRY!

So basically after applying my whole hair and while that was processing, I noticed that this bleach wasnt irritating my skin so I decided to used the left over bleach on my eye brows~

I made sure to apply the bleach that was thick enough that it wasnt runny so that I didnt have to worry about it getting in my eyes. You should apply generous amount on the eyebrows so that you dont get patches of dark brow hair so make sure all your brow hair a completely covered in the bleach! :D

The process time for my eye brows was about 15 min and it turned in to really nice light brown color!

here is LOL pic of me bleaching my eyebrows!! the white brow was so funny that I ran and got a white plastic bag to wear over my hair~ had a GOOD laugh at myself as a Grandma eki!! LOL

I also got this from Sally's that I am liking for my dry hair

ohh and I have colored my hair again! XP I had to color since my roots were getting so long and so noticeable so I decided to go really dark but didnt want to go black so I always try to stay in the ash brown shade since I dont really care for the red toned browns so I wanted to see how this shade will turn out since I havent tried this color before,, looked promising but

sorta disappointed that it didnt turn out how I imagined,, cant really tell in the photo but its more of mahogany brown instead of dark ash brown... XP but it colored my roots & hair evenly, feels and look super shiny n natural so Im not complaining too much though :p Its really dark almost blackish brown so gotta get used to having dark hair again haha

well that is it for now, thanks for stopping by and Hope you all stay warm! Im gonna take it easy this weekend and rest of this month gotta reset my mind and my body for the New year!

Take care!
